I started in the schools, was tired of the school system telling me what to do and thought that the lack of progress was from the large group settings I was forced to treat 3 year olds in. So, I went to work in the county infant and toddler program and worked 1:1 with the little ones. But something always felt like it was MISSING.
Fast forward several years and I opened my own private practice.
I was loving life in private practice and treating a variety of kids with speech sound disorders, feeding disorders and felt like I. WAS. CONTINUALLY. HITTING. A. WALL!!!! Ugh!
And then I had my own child...and she was tongue and lip tied. And that threw me down an entire new rabbit hole...

I took my 28 hour intro to orofacial myofunctional therapy and disorders course and my life was literally changed. I now had the tools to help my own child but I was also able to see all of my patients (and their family members!) through a new lens.
With my "myo eyes" on as one of my course instructors called it, I took a deep nose dive into the world of myo, airway and TOTs. And then I realized most therapists who followed my same path are struggling to get the help they need to best serve their patients.
So I created the Untethered Podcast
